Job Summary
The GEOINT Conveyance Specialists will provide a full range of support to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Operations Center. GEOINT Conveyance Specialists review and format both text and graphics to ensure NGOC and other time-sensitive reporting meets Agency and Intelligence Community guidelines for quality and policy compliance. GEOINT Conveyance Specialists lay out, edit, format, and review various geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) elements, including report text, static visuals, and other content, according to established agency publication policies. GEOINT Conveyance Specialists apply copy editing skills to ensure text quality and a broad knowledge of content layout principles to communicate concepts or ideas visually. They work with analytic authors, GEOINT Operations Officers (GOOs), and Intelligence Directors (IDs) to provide a full range of support in the production and dissemination of finished GEOINT for external audiences and to provide guidance for the layout, presentation, and accuracy of graphics and text. GEOINT Production Editors also troubleshoot production issues; share expertise; and assist with editing Power Point presentations/briefing materials. Individuals in these positions use Microsoft Office applications (particularly Word and PowerPoint); Adobe Acrobat; and a variety of other software suites, formats, and databases to fulfill their duties with minimal to no supervision. They also participate in Agency, IC, and industry training, forums, conferences, and other events in order to maintain their expertise in current industry standards and practices for editorial production.
