As the largest provider of municipal 911 services, Cataldo provides dedicated and backup 911 service to more than 18 communities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Join our team at Cataldo Ambulance Service as a Chair Car Van Driver, where you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate and efficient transportation services to patients. As a Chair Car Van Driver, you'll be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, procedures, and other healthcare facilities. Your dedication to providing exceptional service will directly impact the well-being of our patients while ensuring they receive the care they need.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, procedures, and healthcare facilities.
  • Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
  • Maintain a clean and well-equipped vehicle, adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and patients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times and locations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and respect for patients and their families.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety of patients and other road users at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing schedules and patient needs.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly, including trip logs, mileage records, and incident reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Uphold the values and mission of Cataldo Ambulance Service , promoting a culture of excellence and compassion in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in patient transportation, customer service, or a related field preferred.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings as required.
  • Physical ability to assist patients with mobility challenges and lift/move medical equipment as needed.
