As a Commercial Banker on our team, you will be pivotal in driving our business growth by providing comprehensive banking solutions to our commercial clients. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, strong communication skills to build and maintain client relationships, and a deep understanding of financial products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify commercial prospects and develop strategies to grow the Bank's portfolio.
  • Meet applicants to determine loan requirements and gather pertinent information for loan applications.
  • Resolve uncertainties relating to customer application information through inquiries with applicant or creditors.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.
  • Participate in community and professional organizations and events.
  • Manage loan portfolio including renewals, modifications, updated credit analysis, collections, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Using experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Assist with customer calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relation area; or equivalent work experience and/or a combination of both.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Commercial Lending with a preference for existing experience within the service area and Credit training.
  • Ability to generate new loan growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • of Programs/Products.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit, and financial documents as well as other legal documents as needed.
  • Ability to present, sell and service bank products as well as demonstrate professional knowledge of commercial lending.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities as well as an understanding of credit underwriting and loan documentation.
  • Willingness to attend functions and meetings outside normal working hours.
