Summary of Performance Expectations:
Performs a diverse range of office duties, focusing on supporting the overall operations of Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG) as a unified entity. Responsibilities include documentation, tracking, and obtaining task level updates for stakeholders. Meeting management for assigned special projects. Assists with CVMG hiring and coordinates with HR related needs. Maintaining confidential materials and records, collecting, and reporting data information, managing the telephone, and direct visitors, as well as gathering information for bi-annual chart audits, provider privilege license renewals and additions, maintaining supervising physicians meeting requirements and updated collaborative practice agreements as well as annual MGMA surveys. Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to research, development, and implementation of special projects.Able to serve as a resource for information, policies, procedure, and workflows.Utilize team-based approach to all tasks.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Associate degree in Healthcare Management or related field, or extensive knowledge and demonstrated successful work experience
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience:
Required
One year experience working in healthcare performing administrative duties using an electronic health record system (EHR), such as but not limited to working with ICD & CPT codes and scheduling.
OR will consider two years’ experience in an Administrative Assistant or Customer Service position. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
Preferred
Two or more years working in a medical project management position.
