Including, but not limitedto, daily assessment of their physical and mental state, upkeep and accuracy of their charts.BRIEF OUTLINE OF POSITION:1. Responsible for taking vital signs, assessment of client’s medical and psychological symptomsand the documentation of same in the nursing progress notes.2. Ensure proper and accurate transcription of physician orders and that accurate documentation ismaintained on the administration of medication, verbal physician orders and individuals that areon self-medication plans.3. Inform the physician of acute or ongoing medical and/or psychiatric problems scheduled clinicappointment times and the results of medical assessments and testing.4. Schedule outside medical appointments and ensure client’s transportation.5. Review client’s health plan, develop and manage medical and medication goals for clients’comprehensive treatment plans including clients who are in the self-administration medicationprogram.6. Develop and run nursing groups, act as co-leader in group therapy and participate in treatmentteam meetings.7. Act as liaison between the client’s physicians and the staff.8. Provide training to clients and staff in the areas of hygiene, medication side effects, first aid,nutrition, etc.9.
