Basic Purpose- Catelli Brothers Family of Foods, one of the largest Veal and Lamb processing facilities, is seeking an experienced Account Receivables/Deductions Specialist. The position requires a detailed understanding of billings, collections, and deductions. This role will be report to the Accounting Director. The back-up for the role will be AP/AR clerk.

Description-

Review and post sales daily, audit and sort invoices with signed BOLs, and email/mail invoices daily

Pickup invoices, payments, and shipping daily as well as daily mail pickup from the local post office

Enter invoices in customer portals for payment and invoice all non-AR entries

Post credit/debit adjustments for Marketing Rebates, Food Show Deductions, and other Allowances

Provide backup for all credit/debit adjustments

Prepare & post cash receipts and ACH payments to AR system

Setup initial credit file with Seafax for new customers as well as monitor existing clients

Provide credit reference requests

Review AR aging daily with follow-up on past-due accounts

Work closely with Sales team to maintain the company’s credit policy

Consistently review customer credit holds and limits along with customer noted regarding payment status, deductions, and payment issues. Manage payment status, deductions, and payment issues closely with Sales team. Provide reports to Sales team as needed.

Assist with month-end close

Assist controller with annual audits

Education / Training

High school diploma or GED required

Must read and write English

Advanced Math skills

Related Experience/Requirements

4-5 years of experience in accounts receivables/deductions

Billing/Collections experience required

Food industry experience preferred

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word

Excellent computer skills including accounting systems

Aspen/Canopy ERP experience preferred

Ability to work well with others

Physical Requirements-

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift at times. Must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.

Work in a cold refrigerated environment
