Event Captain Position Overview:

The Banquet Event Captain is a vital leadership role within our catering team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our catered events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure seamless execution from start to finish.

We are known for our imaginative culinary creations, quality ingredients, and dependable service. We cater to a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to graduation parties, to weddings, and more. We even bring 'the kitchen' to our clients and their guests! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Event Captain to join our team and lead our events to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and delegate tasks to a team of servers, bartenders, and other event staff to ensure efficient and effective service.
• Act as the primary point of contact on-site for venue staff, clients, and team members, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Adhere to and manage the event timeline, ensuring all aspects of the event are executed according to plan.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all elements are in place and meet the client’s expectations.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event, providing quick and effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service, representing Catered Creations with pride and excellence.
• Conduct pre-event briefings with staff, outlining event details and expectations.
• Monitor and manage inventory of event supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Banquet Event Captain, Event Coordinator, or similar role in the catering or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of catering setups, service styles, and event management.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

• You'll start at $19/hour with a raise at 90 days if you meet all our needs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evenings as needed
• Weekends as needed
