In addition to wedding coordination and office responsibilities, this role will also involve event management as an Event Captain. The person in this position must be a strong team player with leadership qualities, as they will be responsible for guiding our team to success. This candidate should excel in organization, problem-solving, and managing stressful situations. Prior experience in banquet services is a requirement.

WEDDING COORDINATING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the point person for client communication, from "I do" to "I did"
• Answer inquiry emails and make scheduling with us a breeze
• Carefully handle client payments and contracts like a pro
• Manage timelines, food menus, and decor details
• Write and mail thank you cards after events - good penmanship is essential!
• Send client satisfaction surveys for positive feedback
• Play a crucial role in coordinating our tasting events
• Assist with office tasks & general cleaning

CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine event contracts with the utmost precision, paying close attention to detail.
• Ensure all event essentials are packed, loaded, and ready to roll
• Verify that hot and cold food items are perfectly packed
• Lead and coordinate our on-site Front of House (FOH) & Back of House (BOH) teams
• Oversee the meticulous setup of tables with the correct seating plans
• Serve as the key point of contact for venue staff, planners, and clients during events
• Delegate tasks to team members for the seamless execution of all event elements
• Manage the collection, documentation, and safekeeping of tip money
• Make the call when it's time to cut staff members

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prior banquet experience is a MUST
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

COMPENSATION & HOURS:

• You'll start at $19/hour with a raise at 90 days if you meet all our needs
• Enjoy a $2/hour shift differential for all weekend shifts
• We pay 1.5x for any overtime hours
• Tip share - share the joy of great tips!
• Approximately 20-25 hours weekly for wedding coordinating
• Approximately 15-20 hours weekly for event work
