Responsibilities:

 Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
 Plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate program(s).
 Give work directives, resolve problems, and set deadlines for personnel to ensure sound operational functioning.
 Prepare and/or monitor proposals, reports, statistics and budgets. Seek and write proposals for the purpose of finding funding to support various activities/programs.
 Monitor record keeping of program activities, including, but not limited to: confidential client records, client participation lists, instructors' attendance, monthly and weekly reports.
 Plan and facilitate individual and departmental staff meetings.
 Maintain working knowledge of program(s), including content and staffing issues.
 Work within the framework of the program budget while managing a variety of concurrent activities effectively.
 Recruit, train and supervise a staff of volunteers.
 Interview prospective applicants for positions.
 Participate in the selection of new employees for the program. Train new employees in areas such as policy, department procedures, and government regulations.
 Attend community meetings related to the program(s), act as an advocate.
 Develop relationships with clients, businesses, community and civic organizations to promote goodwill, and to promote the services of the program(s).
 Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives.

Requirements: Combination of experience and education normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, and from 3 to 5 years of related professional experience, including supervision required.
 Three to five years of related professional experience working in programs or education with children and adults with developmental disabilities preferred, if working in areas of disability services.
 LSW preferred.
 Fiscal, administrative, and supervisory experience necessary.
 Must have the ability to relate to a wide variety of people, both professional and volunteers; as well represent the site/corporation to outside organizations and systems.
 Must have competent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to write persuasively for grants/proposals.
 Must have the ability to effectively prioritize and implement a variety of concurrent and varying activities.
 Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds.
 Must be able to work independently from general instructions.
 Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
 Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office software.
 Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation for local travel.
