• You will provide support to our resource linkage program by identifying eligible clients.
• You will assist with determining appropriateness for client referrals to internal programs and/or financial assistance.
• You will show care by using empathy and active listening techniques and being present with each individual client.
• You will give hope to our clients by starting with the simple act of really listening to their story and caring.
• You will take the time to treat clients with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• You will show clients with both word and action that they matter to us.
• You will identify client’s barriers and needs to support the Community Care team.
• You will use intentional communication to allow the program to learn and address prevalent needs within the community.
• You will attend meetings with current and potential parish and/or other community-based organizations.
• You will become proficient in Salesforce to track client interactions.

• This is a part-time, non-paid position.

Are you the next Community Care Intern?

• Must be currently enrolled in a Master of Social Work program or related field.
• Thoroughness and detail-oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Familiarity with low-income populations
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and liability insurance
