Catholic Charities - Diocese of Trenton is Hiring a Peer Facilitator Near Burlington, NJ
Essential Functions
- Assists with conducting groups beneficial to clients’ needs and interests
- Provides information and referral to clients as needed
- Provides case management assistance, i.e. preparation/maintenance of weekly self-help reports as needed
- Assists clients in identifying benefits, social and community services and helps clients obtain them.
- Assists or organize/lead client activities
- Assists with crisis intervention as needed
- Set up and break down of drinks each week and assist with serving food
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mental health
- Basic computer and software skills and experience
- Complete work with accuracy and meet deadlines
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; understand and follow directions
- Provide a high level of client service
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, caregivers, service providers and staff
- Knowledge of community resources is highly desirable
