Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed full-service community hospital located in the rapidly growing southeastern section of Lexington Kentucky. We provide care for patients in Fayette and surrounding counties. At Saint Joseph East ambulatory surgery 24-hour emergency care and women's health services are supported through a vast array of inpatient and outpatient program. Additional specialty services include Heart Care Breast Care Sleep Care and Weight Loss Surgery. **Responsibilities**

As our Surgical Tech, you'll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can't operate without you.

The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization

Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you'll be supporting

Adapt to the needs of emergency situations

Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**

**Required Education for Staff Job Levels**

Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program

**Required Licensure and Certifications**

Certified surgical technologist (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

**Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. Experience with varied high tech surgical equipment.

**PREFERRED Qualifications**

One year perioperative services experience preferred

**Pay Range**

$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
