SummaryAn integral part of the work of our health care system is the accurate and appropriate operations, reporting and processing of financial information for the Ambulatory Surgery Centers affiliated with the Catholic Health System. This position will serve as the Director of Finance for the Centers; Ambulatory Surgery Center of WNY and Sterling Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position will be the lead financial position that oversees all financial aspects of the services rendered at these centers and is the primary liaison with operational leadership, clinical leadership of the center and Catholic Health Finance department (Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing and Accounts Receivable).
ResponsibilitiesEDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting preferred
  • Master's Degree in a Finance or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge regarding the financial reporting, daily activity and processing for an healthcare organization.
  • Adept at navigating technology. Experience leveraging systems to improve efficiency and maximize performance.
  • Existing experience or a demonstrated interest in examining and re-engineering operations, processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to make quality and metric based strategic business decisions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current healthcare financial challenges including the changing industry dynamic and the anticipated impact of reform. Ability to connect these challenges to the revenue cycle for operational improvement opportunities.
  • Possesses strong project, process and change management skills and is able to prioritize and adjust based on the changing needs of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to express ideas logically, cogently and persuasively. Possesses exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in critical thinking, diplomacy and relationship building required.
  • Highly developed communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people in both individual and group settings
