Job DetailsThe outpatient rehabilitation therapist is responsible for evaluation and therapeutic intervention for persons with illnesses or injuries, which impede independent functioning of mobility, activities of daily living, cognitive thinking, and/or vocation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Minimum Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy.
Licensure/Certification: New York State license and registration or valid temporary license. Must obtain CPR certification by the end of the probationary period.
Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Physical therapist must be able to evaluate and provide treatment interventions to patients with diagnoses ranging from simple orthopedic conditions to more complex neurological conditions. Must be able to work in a fast paced department. Positions requires ability to accurately and completely document in a timely manner utilizing the electronic medical record system EPIC. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Experience: Experience in an outpatient setting strongly preferred but not required.
