The Manager of Infection Prevention position serves as an integral member of the healthcare team by developing organizational, evidence-based policies and procedures for the management of patients with infectious diseases, preventing healthcare associated infections and preventing the spread of infectious diseases in the health system.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in nursing, healthcare, epidemiology, microbiology or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum three years relevant experience.
- Experience in adult education.
- Knowledge regarding disinfection and sterilization techniques.
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to Infection Control.
Licensure/Certification:
Certification in Infection Control, (CIC) if not current upon hire will obtain within two years
