Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of equipment, including but not limited to ovens, fryers, grills, fryers, and dishwashers. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial kitchen equipment.
· Analyze, inspect, troubleshoot, install, rebuild, adjust, replace and ensure safety of commercial kitchen appliances, commercial refrigeration equipment and HVAC equipment. May include, but not limited to: Walk-ins, steamers, convection ovens, dishwashers, booster heaters, warmers, exhaust hoods, serving lines, ice machines, bearings, motors, heat exchanges, boilers, air conditioner compressors, exhaust systems and chillers. Commission new kitchens and equipment installation.
· Performs major and/or minor repair, as well preventative and corrective maintenance of commercial kitchen appliances, commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Repair and maintain all low voltage, equipment voltage and control voltages. Responsible for coordination and prioritizing repair tasks to respond in a timely manner and provide timely repairs and reduced downtime. Respond to emergencies in building during scheduled hours as well as afterhours, including on call for nutrition services and HVAC emergencies.
· Install new equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
· Respond promptly to service calls and perform repairs efficiently.
· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
· Responsible for performing PC related diagnosis, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting task to company and customer properties and equipment.
· Performs various maintenance duties.
· Performs various administrative duties.
· Completes daily paperwork.
· Works with other employees as a member of a team.
· Works in a “SAFE” manner at all times.
· Assist in working with 3rd Party vendors in daily task.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
· Respond quickly in the event of an emergency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Verifiable experience as a commercial kitchen service technician or similar role
· Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems related to kitchen equipment
· Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· High school diploma/GED required
· Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
· Experienced in operating a variety of equipment and tools.
· Effective written and oral communication skills.
· Able to work well with minimal supervision
· Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
· Flexible work schedule required and have the ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime and on call after hour shifts.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract and use simple math.
· Display outstanding work ethics at all times in the area of honesty, efficiency, professionalism and dependability.
· Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
· Display punctuality and a neat appearance.
· Must pass background check and drug-free workplace requirements.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and submit to a MVA driving record check annually.

· This position requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs up to a height of 50 feet, bending and reaching.
· Must be able to perform the tasks in various conditions which may include exposure to the cold and/or heat while working outside.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
