Caudalie USA is looking for a Demand Planner reporting to the Merchandising Director. The Demand Planner is in charge of aligning availability of products with anticipated demand for the US market. The Demand Planner will analyze sales to understand and interpret trends, maintain healthy stock level in local warehouse and provide accurate and timely demand projections while minimizing forecast variability.

Analyze, understand, and interpret sales trends

• Retrieve sales data of Key retail partners on a weekly basis from various sources (PowerBI, retailer’s portal…).
• Compile and consolidate relevant sales information based on campaign focus, newness, or virality of products.
• Build sales history of core products, analyze, report trends vs LY and budget, and provide pertinent sales comparisons, at a SKU and collection level.
• Monitor seasonal items sell through and calculate end of season projections.
• Partner with commercial teams to collect and gather feedback from field that would help understanding data.
• Prepare written analysis and present concisely sales results to Sales and Marketing teams on a weekly call.
• Pull additional sales reports based on business needs.

Manage healthy stock levels

• Analyze inventory levels at local warehouse for all categories of products (retail, testers, backbar, samples).
• Maintain average WOS as defined by management.
• Proactively identify risks, anticipate, and avoid shortage.
• Minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
• Track RTV from main Retail partners.
• Partner with warehouse team on all type of inventory matters (adjustments, kitting, transfer…) and ensure clear communication.

Demand forecast

• Build bottom up yearly Sell in Plan for Key retail partners, based on marketing calendar and activations.
• Provide highly accurate forecast of core catalog on 12M rolling basis, ensure consistency of forecast assumptions, constantly update, and adjust projections based on trends, promotional plans, and planogram changes to limit variations.
• Ensure alignment of demand forecast with sales estimate and achieve continuous improvement in demand forecast accuracy.
• Prepare and actively participate in monthly forecast review with Global team.
• Oversee importation plan according to priorities, and process.
• Quantify new product launches forecasts using historical sales, planned marketing support, merchandising plans, and shared expectations.
• Lead forecasting process for gratis and sampling.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFCATIONS & SKILLS:

Education/ Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of related experience required.
• Have the ability to synthesize information and create a clear synopsis of key issues.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, ERP system experience preferably Navision

• Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently.
• Possess well-developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to be able to build strong work relationships with all levels of the organization.

Work Hours& Location:

• Reports to the Merchandising Director, Americas.
• Available to work Monday through Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
• Hybrid work schedule office/remote defined by management.
• Work location is in New York, NY and/or Carlstadt, NJ (as requested).
