The roleAs an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements during construction activities for Cavendish Nuclear and the Client.
Day to day, the EC&I Engineer will be responsible for meeting the design and safety intentions throughout the construction process.
Essential Experience Of The EC&I Engineer

The roleAs an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements during construction activities for Cavendish Nuclear and the Client.
Day to day, the EC&I Engineer will be responsible for meeting the design and safety intentions throughout the construction process.
- Oversee engineering planning and establish safe systems of work for various tasks.
- Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with work planning and manage work packages delegated by Senior Engineers.
- Review designs, conduct Risk Assessments, and develop method statements and quality plans.
- Manage the approval process for work packages and brief work crews, including subcontractors.
- Monitor and drive progress, quality, and safety during construction, and manage inspections.
- Complete work package close-outs and perform additional duties as directed by the Line Manager
Essential Experience Of The EC&I Engineer
- Experience in site delivery roles.
- Background in engineering or construction management on complex projects in regulated environments
- Experience covering various engineering topics and all project phases in regulated settings.
- Engineering degree or HNC.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification is desirable but can be provided if not already held; willingness to obtain it is required.
