Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Editor to join our team. This role involves writing technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, revising, and editing written material in digital formats including XML, HTML, and PDF.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in technical editing.
• Proficiency in XML editing and publishing, particularly with Arbortext software suite.
• Strong skills in HTML, Word, and PDF editing tools.
• Knowledge of Airworthiness Processes and Procedures.
• Ability to manage document configuration control and quality control.
• Experience in maintaining product libraries and archives.
• Capability to serve as a coach for Level 1 Editors-In-Training.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Product Developers to create and update flight clearance products.
• Convert hard-copy manuals into electronic-based media and post approved products on relevant websites.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and style guides in editing tasks.
• Participate in process and product improvement initiatives.
• Complete specific Airworthiness formal training requirements for role empowerment.

Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package:

Salary at CaVU is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, education, training, certificates, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $95,000. To drive fair pay practices for employees, CaVU conducts regular comparisons across our employee groups and the industry. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, CaVU considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
