About the Program and Position:

Our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program is dedicated to making a significant impact on the lives of unaccompanied children aged 0- 17 ½. Referred through shelters or trusted foster care providers, these children rely on our continuous support throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to their parents or sponsors. We can guide and empower these children and sponsors through an unfamiliar system, which makes a significant difference.

Under the supervision of the VP of HS/PRS, the Director of Clinical Services will provide clinical oversight to the HS/PRS Clinical team. This staff will work closely with the VP to ensure the delivery of robust, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive practice.

How you get to use your skills…

  • Oversee all treatment planning and delivery for Unaccompanied Children and their families.
  • Provide ongoing individual and group coaching sessions to staff to process complex cases and best practices. Provide mental health crisis intervention.
  • Provide oversight for training all clinical hires to ensure they are versed in the clinical approaches.
  • Provide clinical expertise and be directly responsible for the management of clinical staff.
  • Provide guidance & coaching to all clinicians during bi-weekly meetings.
  • Provide and coordinate all needed diagnostic services.
  • If LCSW, provide clinical supervision for staff to receive licensure
  • Provide record-keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation)
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures, including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
  • Participates in community liaison activities as needed
  • Ability to work with vendors and stakeholders to provide needed clinical services
  • Oversee and assist with completing reports, referrals, and other required documentation.
  • Audit files/CORE//Portal
  • Hold weekly individual supervision meetings with clinicians on their team.
  • Provide around-the-clock on-call clinical support and guidance to clinical staff.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to the case management team as needed.
  • Ensure patient-centered and culturally sensitive practice.
  • Respond positively and respectfully to diversity among the agency’s service population.
  • Ensures adherence to all applicable county, state, and other regulations
  • Oversee and ensure the clinical team meets and complies with the agency, federal, and state mandates.
  • Oversee the assignment of case referrals.
  • Provide administrative support to the program VP.
  • Perform various administrative or executive support tasks that are highly confidential and sensitive
  • Ensure children and their families are provided with community-based services with the trauma-informed lens


Schedule:

  • Regular hours entail 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday- Friday
  • Must be flexible to meet program needs
  • Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends required
  • 24/7 on-call support required
Experience and Skills:
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field; LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAT - required.
  • Experience in the human service field and working with at-risk populations
  • Experience providing direct clinical services
  • Experience providing supervision
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures, including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
  • Fluent Bi-lingual - English-Spanish required. All agency documents and records are in English, so English writing proficiency is required. The position itself requires Spanish speaking, writing, and reading proficiency
  • Strong skills in all Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Physical Requirements:

  • Word processing: Including responding to emails, composing letters, and writing policy and procedures & case notes, involves sitting at a computer for several hours a day
  • Completing paperwork and electronic documentation
  • Sit/ride in vehicles and/or public transportation for lengthy periods of time
