Provider Engagement Specialist

Provider Engagement Specialist will work to build strong relationship with all employed Cayuga Medical Associates (CMA) providers beginning with their onboarding, training and off-boarding phases and beyond. Specialist will maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with providers and function as a liaison between providers and various departments within CMA and CHS. Specialist will work closely with multiple internal departments to manage the provider onboarding process and ensure a seamless transition for all groups involved.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates and manages ongoing relationship with CMA providers; both during the onboarding phase and beyond
  • Works closely with recruiting and operational leaders to create a smooth transition for providers from the contracting phase to the onboarding phase
  • Collaborates with operational leaders, practice managers and support departments (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Facilities) to ensure a successful and timely onboarding experience.
  • Provide a high-touch experience to allow for a seamless transition for all incoming and existing providers
  • Develops and maintains onboarding timelines, onboarding notes and spreadsheets related to provider onboarding and any provider related efforts
  • Develop and execute events to maintain a collaborative environment between providers as well as health system staff and leaders.

  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Experience in Healthcare required
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience with project management software tools (JIRA) is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point preferred

  • Lifting - must be able to lift 20 lb.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite

Compensation Disclosure:

  • $60,000 to $70,000 per year
