A PPS Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate completion and submittal of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) for each rehabilitation inpatient. The PPS Coordinator is responsible for continual data collection and management of information for CMS and NYS Department of Health. Accuracy of Quality Indicator (QI) scores is reviewed by the Department Director. The PPS Coordinator assists in the ongoing monitoring of identified benchmarks for the inpatient population. The PPS Coordinator has access to confidential patient/ employee/ organizational information and maintains confidentiality of all information.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate Degree in Business, Technology, or Administrative Assistant
Experience: 5 years of Experience in Health Care Environment
Licensure: Not applicable.
Certification: BLS
Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
