Position Overview:

This position is responsible for scheduling and registering patients. Must be proficient in phone/voicemail management, computer skills, communication skills, and teamwork. This position will also collect visit co-pays and have knowledge of insurance program requirements. Input and update patient data. This position will assist with daily clinic cleaning. Revenue cycle related duties and other duties as assigned.

Schedule: 7:30 to 4pm, rotating with team and 8:00-4:30/8:30-5pm

What you'll do:

  • Opening and closing clinic
  • Phone and voicemail management
  • Proficient in fax/copier unit, scanner, and credit card machine.
  • New patient registration
  • Scheduling new and recurring patients
  • Collect applicable co-pays/co-insurance
  • Provide patient appointment reminder calls
  • Maintain waiting room cleanliness
  • Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
  • Revenue cycle related duties

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess situations and make decisions
  • Must complete yearly mandatory safety in-services and/or trainings
  • Must complete yearly HealthStream e-Learning Courses
  • Must adhere to patient safety "Red Rules" and infection prevention policies
  • Education - High School Diploma
  • Experience - 3 years office preferred; medical office highly preferred
  • Licensure - N/A

Physical Requirements -

  • Ability to sit for 4 hours per day/shift
  • Ability to carry and lift a minimum of 20#
  • Ability to escort patients from the waiting room
