Cayuse Holdings is Hiring a HR Specialist Near Arlington, VA

Cayuse Technologies is seeking a, HR Specialist to join our team at Department of State, Diplomatic Security, Office of the Chief Technology Officer (DS/CTO). This position acts as a liaison between the technical program office and government HR systems and programs to create efficiencies and influence positive policies in the processing of Human Resources requests and documents. All duties and responsibilities performed in accordance with the Core Values of Cayuse
Responsibilities
  • Serving as an HR expert, providing management and staff information in the areas of staffing, recruitment, position description, and classification.
  • Reviewing, preparing, and/or coordinating position description requests from management officials to assess the accuracy, to update outdated position descriptions and to create its supporting documentation.
  • Preparing recruitment requests and documents for job announcements by working with leadership to ensure all documents are cleared and signed and providing the package for submission to HR.
  • Manage the internal interview process to ensure panel participants have the position description, resumes, and the interview schedule. Ensure applicants are scheduled for interviews in coordination with the Division or office staff.
  • Maintaining liaison with Departmental human resources office on matters relating to staffing, recruitment and hiring, and position classification.
  • This position is part of a team that collaborates on special projects and provides leave backup.
  • Prepare and provides HR related status reports to leadership.
  • Skills in fact-finding, analysis, and problem solving
  • Works as a cooperative and collaborative member of a high performing team
  • Consistently provides high level of quality service
  • Uses judgment to anticipate customer service needs
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in effectively exchanging and understanding information, verbally or in writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and communicates effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with establishing positive relationships between employers and employees
  • Customer-focused and professional communication style
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is desirable but not required
  • Motivated, energetic, dynamic, business savvy individual who can assist with the day to day logistics of delivering services to our clients.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
Minimum Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
  • Ability to collaborate, organize and lead teams
  • Ability to use sound judgment to plan and accomplish project goals.
  • Must be a multitasker and be able to solve complex problems.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite of tools including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Possess excellent planning, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Expert communicator and a strong writer including good command of the English language.
  • Shall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task. Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
Reports to: Client Account Director
Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
