Cboe interns work with a variety of staff across multiple departments and have the opportunity to put their skills to work in their field of interest, while learning about Exchange technology and operations through our robust Options Institute courses.
The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth.
Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place. The Corporate Strategy team is hiring for a Corporate Strategy Intern.Join our Corporate Strategy team that has associates from all different backgrounds and skill sets. You will get the chance to dive into data, research, modeling and competitive analysis to understand the strategic components of a global exchange. Collaborate with industry experts across the company in a fun, dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience and providing valuable insights. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is $24 to $36 an hour. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.

Your responsibilities and learning objectives will be:
- The candidate will have a high level of efficiency, accuracy and responsibility with the ability to manage multiple assignments & priorities, work well on a team, have excellent and demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
- They will work with the Corporate Strategy team but partner with groups across the organization based on actual project.
- Conduct industry and product research across varying entities, business lines and geographies as inputs for financial modelling and valuation
- Build analytical frameworks and conduct analysis on business initiatives including strategic fit, benchmarking, business case development
- Provide support for Corporate Strategy team across the development, communication and execution of various corporate strategy objectives
- The ideal candidate will either be a graduate or undergraduate student with an outstanding record of academic achievement and an interest in the financial markets, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Strategy, Economics or a related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing assignments in a dynamic environment.
- Must be detail oriented
- Possess strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must be able to commute to New York, Chicago or Lenexa office location
- Prior experience working in the financial industry
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
