Job Overview: As a Janitor at our large indoor production and manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and contributing to the overall well-being of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and dust.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and equipment.

• Waste Management:

• Properly dispose of all waste materials in designated areas.
• Segregate and recycle materials according to facility guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain waste receptacles for cleanliness.

• Floor Maintenance:

• Operate floor cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and polishers.
• Perform spot cleaning and stain removal as needed.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs related to flooring.

• Window and Glass Cleaning:

• Clean windows and glass surfaces to maintain a clear and professional appearance.
• Remove smudges, fingerprints, and other marks from glass.

• Stocking and Replenishing:

• Ensure that cleaning and sanitation supplies are adequately stocked.
• Report low stock levels and assist in maintaining an organized supply storage area.

• Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Facilities Manager.

• Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with other facility staff to coordinate cleaning schedules.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

• Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and supplies.
• Report completed tasks and issues to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and substances.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• May require occasional weekend or evening hours for special projects or events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
