CC Pace is Hiring an Agile Release Train Engineer Near Charlotte, NC

We are looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to facilitate the PI events, ensure that the ART operates effectively, adhere to SAFe principles and practices, and support cross-team coordination and collaboration. Qualified candidates will have expertise in communicating with stakeholders, escalating impediments, helping to manage risk, driving relentless improvement in the program, and act as a change agent.

Job Responsibilities

Agile Release Train level planning and execution including:

  • Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
  • Facilitate and lead Agile Release Train events, including PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and other ART ceremonies.
  • Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities; Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings, including the ART sync
  • Help manage risks and dependencies affecting the Train; escalate and track impediments
  • Co-ordinate with other Release Train Engineers / Program managers to ensure cross team collaboration
  • Provide input on resourcing, team performance, team dynamics to address bottlenecks
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Project Management, Infrastructure, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Coach teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and thinking
  • Understand program/project budgets and help execute within established budget constraints

Prequalification:

A combination of the following experience is required:

  • Minimum 2 years serving as an RTE on an ART of at least 4 teams.
  • A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree with 10 years of Software / Product development/project management/Scrum Master experience including planning, technical design/development, implementation, and maintenance of systems; preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms.
  • Minimum 5 years of large-scale Program Management and/or Program-level Agile Coach experience.
  • SPC or RTE certification required.
  • Advanced certifications such as CSP, PMI-ACP or IC-Agile ACC or equivalent desired.
  • Knowledge of Lean-Agile, DevOps, Agile Testing and Cloud practices.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare, Finance/Banking, Manufacturing, or Government sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to understand future product needs and influence their prioritization with all stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical, oral, written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, set direction, and influence those not under direct line of management.
  • Experience working with multi-cultural, cross-functional agile delivery teams.
