Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting our accounting and administrative functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. This individual will analyze financial information, maintain complete records while adhering to the standards of our organization. This role also comes with the opportunity for growth within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining financial records and documentation including keeping accurate records of all incoming and outgoing payments
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile QuickBooks and maintain general ledger entries
- Assist in preparing financial reports, billable spreadsheet, budgets and forecasts
- Support with the payroll process and tasks as required
- Assist with preparing tax and annual audit documents as needed
- Resolve any billing discrepancies and ensure the company is paid in timely manner
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and various tasks in company’s software
- Perform billing and invoicing for company’s services
- Fulfill any other needs assigned by the business
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
-Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
-Strong proficiency or advanced skills in QuickBooks, Excel and SharePoint
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Possess leadership skills and critical thinking skills
-Ability to problem solve and provide innovative approaches
-Knowledge of financial regulation and compliance
