JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist will provide advice, counsel, and coaching to employees and managers on all employee-related issues such as, but not limited to: performance management, investigations, termination decisions, corrective action, HR and Company policies and procedures, and all employment/labor laws through programs, practices, policies, investigations and actions.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
· Investigate employee and manager complaints regarding violations of company policies (e.g. sexual harassment, standards of business conduct, discrimination, etc).
· Maintains and Processes all unemployment claims and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
· Conducts interactive process meetings, identifies the essential and nonessential job tasks, and works with management to explore the types of accommodations that would be most effective.
· Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Recommends policies or procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and services performed.
· Monitors and processes client or worksite-required annual and random drug screens.
· Develops and maintains affirmative action program; annually files the EEO-1 report; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
· Conducts and logs exit interviews.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related degree. (Five years of experience in Human Resources at CCC Group, Inc. may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
· Minimum of three years of professional-level experience in an HR role involving employee relations, labor relations, staffing, compensation, or organizational development.
· Preferred QUALIFICATIONS:
· PHR or SPHR Certification.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:
· Expertise in developing and conducting HR policies and procedures.
· Strong understanding of current HR best practices and regulations.
· Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
· Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
· Strong and effective oral and written communication skills.
· Strong MS Office Suite skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
· Evidence of strong customer focus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily indoors and occasionally by motor vehicle and/or air travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Manual dexterity and sitting for extended periods.
· Frequent standing and walking.
· Occasional climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
· Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.
· Lifting and/or exerting force up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds of lifting/force frequently.
· Occasional driving of motor vehicles.
