CCI Prime is Hiring an Environmental Health Safety Specialist Near Bethlehem, PA

Summary:

Responsible to ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations, the physical security of all company locations, and to assist individuals to be in compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring that CCI Prime companies are in compliance with all agencies (OSHA, EPA, DOT, et al) regulations, training, and any other requirements by such agencies, our insurance companies, and company requirements. The EHS Specialist/Coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert on all safety, compliance, regulatory and related insurance requirements. Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team. The EHS Specialist will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. This position reports to the VP of FSQA.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

2. Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

3. Provide training and educational programs to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.

4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.

6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.

7. Serve as a resource and advisor to management and employees on safety-related matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety best practices.

8. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in EHS management to ensure the company remains compliant and proactive in its approach to safety.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.

3. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant safety standards.

4. Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels of the organization.

6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

7. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) preferred.
