CCMC Cook Children's Medical Center is Hiring a Flow Cytometry Specialist ($7500 Sign-On Bonus) Near Fort Worth, TX

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Lab-Hematology/Oncology Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Flow Cytometry Specialist will provide scientific and technical support to the flow cytometry testing section of the Clinical Laboratory. As our Flow specialist, you will: participate in implementation technical support customer service regulatory and quality compliance continual service development in collaboration with, and under the authority of the clinical consultants, administrative and medical directors and laboratory leaders. You will be responsible to have working knowledge of the theory of all methodologies within the scope of service assigned and have skills necessary to ensure regulatory compliance, and patient/clinician needs are met, while serving as the technical expert for Flow Cytometry. In this role, you will provide technical bench support to staff where indicated and appropriate. You will also serve as a role model for professionalism and enthusiasm for services. The schedule is dependent on patient and laboratory need and includes on-site and off-site consultation for technical concerns. Laboratory and Corporate Compliance, as outlined by the OIG and CMS, is an important aspect of our laboratory’s environment. Each employee is expected to know, and behave, in accordance with the Laboratory and Medical Center Compliance Plans. Patients served at Cook Children’s Medical Center range in age from newborn through the adolescent period. Additionally, adults are occasionally served. Specific instructions for all groups appear in our policy and procedure manuals. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science Minimum four (4) years training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty, flow cytometry with associated analysis software Certification/Licensure: Candidate is preferred to have been certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent nationally recognized certifying agency Certification eligibility must be maintained for duration of employment About Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.
