**Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio and visual equipment for various events and presentations. This role requires a strong technical background in cabling, schematics, computer hardware, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge. **Responsibilities:** - Install and configure audio and visual equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, and video screens. - Set up and operate sound systems for events including adjusting levels and troubleshooting issues. - Perform routine maintenance on audio visual equipment to ensure optimal performance. - Troubleshoot technical issues related to software, hardware, and connectivity. - Utilize hand tools to assemble and disassemble equipment as needed. - Follow schematics and diagrams to ensure proper installation of equipment. - Test equipment functionality using tools like voltmeters. - Collaborate with other team members to provide seamless audio visual support for events. - Maintain inventory of audio visual equipment and supplies. **Experience:** - Proven experience working with audio visual equipment in a professional setting. - Strong knowledge of cabling techniques and best practices. - Familiarity with software troubleshooting related to audio visual systems. - Ability to work with low voltage systems safely and effectively. - Proficiency in using hand tools for equipment assembly and maintenance. **Requirements:** - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
