Job Title: Dispatcher

Job Description:

CCSI is a national reservation and dispatch company for various taxi and other transportation companies across the country looking for good candidates to join our team as dispatchers. As a dispatcher you will be working with customers and drivers to ensure timely service, monitoring account trips to ensure customers are picked up on time, resolving trip issues, dealing and working through emergencies and traffic accidents, and working alongside reservation agents to provide updates to customers. The position offers advancement and pay increase opportunity.

We are open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Schedules are posted one week in advance, and we do not bounce people around from shift to shift. Schedules are typically similar if not the same week to week.

All new hires go through training to learn how to book trips for customers using our dispatch software and then progress to learning the dispatch duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Trip scheduling
  • Monitor the dispatch board to resolve exceptions and help drivers pickup and transport their customers
  • Communicate trip information to drivers via dispatch software and at times by phone
  • Cover hard to service trips by advertising trips, calling drivers, and following account specific instructions which may include offering bonuses
  • Communicate with customers to resolve trip issues
  • Speak with client account personnel via phone, text message, email, etc.
  • Deal with and work through driver emergencies/traffic accidents and ensure everything is properly documented.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Dispatching/logistics experience (preferred but not required)
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred but not required
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute or more
  • Ability to resolve high stress situations and de-escalate angry drivers and customers
  • Ability to learn how to utilize proprietary dispatching software

Experience:

  • Customer service:1 year (Preferred)

Pay:

$15.00-18.50 an hour (Pay is based on experience and includes bonuses)

Starting pay will be $15.00 and can increase up to $18.50 per hour. Pay will increase 1 week after dispatch training is completed. Paid weekly.

Bonuses:

  • On Time Bonus – $1.50/hour worked. The bonus is earned by arriving on time and working every scheduled shift for that week.
  • Observable performance bonus (OPI) – $1.00-$2.00/hour worked. Eligible to receive bonus 3 months from start date.
  • Spanish Bonus - $1.00/hour worked. Must be fluent in Spanish to receive bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
