CCSN: The Center for Children with Special Needs is Hiring a HR Administrator Near Farmington, CT

Job Summary:

CCSN: The Center for Children with Special Needs is seeking a meticulous and highly organized HR Administrator to join our team. The HR administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the HR processes and procedures. Collaborating closely with other departments, the HR administrator delivers customer-focused, efficient HR services that support the organization in achieving its goals and objectives.

CCSN is a growing multidisciplinary behavioral health practice, supporting individuals with autism and related neurodevelopmental disabilities across the lifespan. With offices in Glastonbury and Farmington, CT, CCSN has a team of psychologists, behavior analysts, social workers, family and marriage therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behavior technicians.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Complete onboarding tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist with employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist with the onboarding, sending out welcome emails, preparing offer letters, and assisting with onboarding documents.
  • Monitoring of HR distribution email and responding in a timely manner to inquiries.
  • Assist with HR compliance activities, including tracking and monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Support audits and investigations by gathering and organizing relevant documents and records.
  • Assists in generating reports and providing data analysis as needed for HR Generalist and/or Executive Directors.
  • Utilize HR software and databases to input, update, and retrieve employee data.
  • Stay up to date on HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Manages sensitive and confidential matters including employee relations, organization changes, and protects the security of information, data, and files.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on the needs of the HR department.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Competent keyboard skills to produce accurate and professional reports.
  • Able to present information in forms, tables, and spreadsheets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or administrator, with at least 1 year specifically in Human Resources (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Office Location:

This is an in-person role and CCSN has offices in Glastonbury and Farmington, CT. The successful candidate will be based in the Farmington, CT office, with the potential to have some days at the Glastonbury, CT location based upon need.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.
