What will you do as a Billing Administrator:

The Billing Administrator will gather and input data for, invoice processing to customers, and collecting on overdue customer balances. Billing Administrator Operations includes AR invoicing through accounting software, obtaining and reviewing patient logs for accuracy and recording information in volumes and dose credit spreadsheets. In addition, the Billing Administrator is responsible for weekly AR calls and follow up on the aging for all companies.

The Billing Administrator is responsible to help obtain information for all new site start-ups. This includes but is not limited to; billing and collection items which include contacting the client to verify billing information and obtaining any missing information. In addition, the Billing Administrator will be responsible for creating new inventory codes and setting up the account. Once all information is received the Billing Instructions will be created.

The Billing Administrator is required to operate accounting systems and software, recommend process improvements to enhance collections and maintain precise records that meet all required guidelines. In addition, they will receive and direct telephone and intercom calls, perform general office and filing functions and perform light typing duties. The Billing Administrator is required to greet customers with a friendly and helpful demeanor. The Billing Administrator is required to seek out and respond promptly to patient, visitor and client needs, problems, and concerns. The Billing Administrator must demonstrate a willingness to work constructively and cooperatively with other CDL employees and is required to maintain strict CDL business and patient confidentiality. The Billing Administrator is responsible for appropriately instructing new employees and coworkers and diligently applying the CDL Company Objectives of "Best Appropriate Patient Care".

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pulls and verifies accuracy of billing data.
  • Creates itemized statements and invoices.
  • Performs general AR collection work, which includes calling overdue accounts.
  • Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or vocational school training preferred.
  • Knowledge of third-party medical billing processes, CPT coding structure ICD-9 structure, and application is preferred.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft products.
  • Must be optimistic, enthusiastic, and able to communicate effectively and courteously with all levels of personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • Experience with desktop computers and software including database & presentation software.
  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • On-site at corporate office, optional one-day remote
  • Typical office hours Monday-Friday 8:00 – 4:00
