JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a results-oriented IT ERP specialist to successfully integrate our ERP software. You will be collaborating with senior managers to determine which business processes need optimization, enhancing the performance of our IT systems, and deploying and implementing suitable ERP solutions.

The IT ERP Specialist installs, configures, and maintains enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and partners with business stakeholders and IT peers to ensure an optimized and secure system for CECO use. This role determines ERP needs, designs and delivers ERP functionality, and integrates ERP technologies with existing systems.

To ensure success as an ERP specialist, this role should exhibit extensive knowledge of ERP systems and business acumen, as well as the ability to resolve integration issues. An outstanding ERP specialist will be someone whose expertise translates into streamlined business processes and highly efficient human resources management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishing ERP needs via business process analysis and consultation.

• Analyzing existing systems and performing IT system enhancements.

• Writing customized programs and scripts, as well as configuring ERP applications as required.

• Developing user-friendly functionalities and interfaces.

• Installing ERP software and ensuring seamless integration with IT systems.

• Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimize performance.

• Providing technical support and training ERP end-users.

• Serve as subject matter expert on ERP systems and processes.

• Develop training materials and provide user training on ERP system changes.

• Partner with the technical teams on data migration for new ERP implementations or upgrades.

• Monitor system performance and partner with the infrastructure team to identify areas for improvement.

• Preparing development progress updates and documenting ERP processes.

• Adhering to company policies, regulatory compliance, and industry regulations.

• Keeping abreast of the latest ERP features and upgrades.

• Partner with the technical teams on all levels Tier support for ERP users experiencing technical issues.

• Configure user roles and permissions within D365 to enable the right level of segregation of duties (SOD) for end-users.

• Documenting the different solutions implemented (business rules, flow rules, schematics, user documentation, processes, configurations, etc.).

• Leads the functional design, implementation, and maintenance of specific business areas of D365.

• Shapes business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions. Translates conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements.

• Works with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories and manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.

• Prioritizes and maintains the product backlog and participates in sprint planning to help determine the technical team’s objectives for the upcoming sprint.

• Participates in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives; ensures the team has a clear understanding of the business priorities.

• Works with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures and done.

• Sets expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or something similar is preferred.

• At least 5 to 7 years' experience as an ERP specialist in a related industry.

• A background in business administration, project management, or a related field will be advantageous.

• In-depth knowledge of D365 ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes is required.

• Great organizational and time management skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Extensive experience working in specific areas such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Material and Resource Scheduling/ Planning, Production Routing, Bill of Material Costing, and Shop Floor.

• Prior experience in designing and implementing business solutions.

• Experience with ERP implementations and Migrations to D365, ISVs, and integrations.

• Ability to understand complex business problems and experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.

• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of new businesses.

• Strong problem-resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

• Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation, use case, story, and acceptance criteria.

• Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies and hands-on with Azure DevOps.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Dynamics 365 certifications in Trade & Logistics, Production, and Shop Floor Control preferred.

• Dynamics 365 certifications in Finance, Human Resources, and Project Accounting a plus•

COMPETENCIES

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of Visio & MS Office Productivity tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

• Knowledge of PMI, Lean, and ITIL methodologies.

• Knowledge of SQL, scripting, and data analysis.

• Knowledge of accounting business processes and integration with operations is a strong plus.

• Knowledge and/or experience servicing or designing solutions for the Manufactory vertical.

• Knowledge of Agile software development systems using MS DevOps.

• Mathematics-Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

• English Language-Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
