Role Overview: As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the verification and dispensation of prescription medications, maintaining stringent quality controls, and ensuring all procedures align with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Pharmacists must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
- Graduate from an ACPE accredited school.
- Licensed for controlled substances; no disciplinary actions within the last 5 years.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic PC skills and Microsoft Office.
- VetPro certification required.
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and being able to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively.
- Pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders.
- Provide full checking, labeling, and quality assurance within the guidance (written VHA handbooks, written CMOP policies, and training that will be provided by the CMOP) of the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding pharmaceutical medications.
- Compliance with VA and TJC policies.
- Effective handling and dispensation of controlled substances.
