POSITION DESCRIPTION

Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, evaluating, and unloading donations from donor vehicles. Provide donors with a positive experience to ensure future donations. Provide receipts as needed. Assist with cleaning, preparing, and pricing all donations and move them to the “ready” area. Helps maintain the order and cleanliness of the ReStore receiving area. Provide superior customer service for donors and shoppers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and engage all persons at the donation dock and the ReStore in a friendly manner.
• Answer questions regarding donation requirements, store policies, volunteering, and mission.
• Evaluate donations for suitability and “sell-ability.”
• Unload donations and consolidate/distribute donations to testing, prep, pricing zones.
• Thank all donors, regardless of donation result.
• Accurately price and display merchandise in a way which is shoppable and safe.
• Assist customers with questions
• Assist customers with purchases – lifting, carrying, and loading when appropriate
• Assist in unloading ReStore trucks.
• Organize and maintain store inventory (repackaging, labeling, measuring) as needed.
• Operate cash register for basic sales transactions.
• Other duties as assigned

• Keep all areas (receiving, pricing, testing, sales floor, restrooms) clean, tidy, organized
• Ability to engage all persons in the Re Store with unyielding integrity, respect, and kindness
• Dependable and able to fulfill agreed weekly schedule
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, customers, donors, and volunteers
• Excellent communication skills in person as well as on the phone
• Effective organizational skills in receiving, pricing, and on the sales floor
• Execute a range of tasks from re-arranging, cleaning, and stocking product
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and walk up a safety ladder
• Understanding of and commitment to the Habitat for Humanity mission
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
