Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM
Rate of Pay: 19.25/hour

Job Summary
CEDARS accounting department is seeking a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills and a penchant for detail. This position is designed for flexibility, with a portion of time allocated to assisting accounting team members meet deadlines and organize files, and the majority of time working closely with the Director of Accounting to compile documentation required for compliance with grant contracts.
Responsibilities
  • Use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in day-to-day work functions with one or more of the following WinTeam software modules: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and/or Payroll
  • Compile and reconcile timesheets, invoices, credit card receipts, and other supporting documents for grants
  • Organize and prepare grant documentation for grant submission
  • Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Enter payroll information into grant split spreadsheets monthly
  • Updating the cost of care for programs
  • Maintaining paid leave reports for employee access
  • Other potential tasks, depending upon personal skills and interests, include managing credit cards, proof-reading financial components of grant applications, reconciling petty cash, assisting with annual budget and audit preparation, health insurance billing, entering accounts payable, and other tasks that may be recognized, and agreed upon, as a team
  • Provide general accounting support to all programs
  • Assist in monthly financial statement and report preparation
  • File documents electronically according to established parameters.
  • Contribute to the department mission of becoming paper light
Job Skills / Requirements
  • Associate degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, business, or finance. 
  • High level of professionalism and good judgement in confidential situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Detailed-Orientated and a self-starter
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient or advanced skill in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook),Adobe Pro,online calendars, cloud system and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Team player who is trustworthy and enjoys collaborating and strategizing with other team members
  • Works well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Take pride in delivering excellent internal and external customer service
  • You provide clear, concise, and friendly written and verbal communication 
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Strong commitment to the mission and goals of CEDARS.
