Job SummaryJob purpose to repair, maintain, and calibrate the admixture dispensing and related equipment at the various ready-mix concrete plants in a given region.
Must reside in Broward county or Dade countyJob Responsibilities
  • Repair of admixture dispensing and related equipment
  • Calibration of admixture dispensing equipment to ensure dosage accuracy
  • Perform plumbing and electrical related labor activities
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic activities
  • Driving safely between CEMEX facilities and construction sites
  • Communicating with CEMEX Ready-Mix Operations, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Chemical Admixtures personnel
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of necessary tools and replacement equipment
  • Keeping vehicle and admixture dispensing related equipment at facilities clean and organized
  • Adherence to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times
  • Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • 3 years of service experience (Technical degree could be substituted for 2 years-related experience)
  • High School diploma required
  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid Driver License is required
  • Requires 3 - 5 years of service experience (Technical degree could be substituted for 2 years-related experience)
  • High School diploma required
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, plumbing and troubleshooting diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Bilingual is a plus
Working Conditions
  • Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
  • Must wear protective equipment while at CEMEX locations
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls
  • Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
  • Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
