What You'll Do:

This position will dispatch ready mix concrete in a timely manner. Provide effective customer service and dispatch support by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Prepare driver call-outs.
• Schedule and dispatch Cement bulkers to various plants.
• Communicate with drivers and direct them to delivery locations.
• Coordinate with customers to adjust truck demand to meet proper delivery rate.
• Solicit future orders from customers and enter orders into computer system.
• Negotiate with customers an acceptable delivery time so that orders are not lost or delayed.
• Document customer complaints and look for ways to improve relationships with the customers.
• Knowledge and ability to batch either locally and/or remotely.
• Work directly with surrounding areas to better service customers by utilizing multiple plants and look to share trucks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Western WI and surrounding areas.
• Able to communicate in a positive and helpful manner with a variety of customers.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three to five years’ related experience in dispatching or customer service, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills and general knowledge of dispatch software.
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver.
• Able to use judgment and logic when under pressure.
• Must be able to read and understand maps.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adjust to change in daily work activities and requirements.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Perform basic math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Apply basic computer skills for entering orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
