Please Note this position is a TDY position that ranges from 3 months to 12 months in length.

Pay ranges from $500 - $2000 a day based on previous experience with per diem rates ranging from $140 - $300 a day-based work location.

This position does require a valid passport with travel to Poland required.

Job Summary:

As a Wargaming Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing wargaming exercises to support NATO's strategic planning and decision-making processes. Your role will involve creating realistic scenarios, managing simulation events, and providing insights that enhance NATO's operational readiness and strategic capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive wargaming scenarios that reflect current and future operational environments and strategic challenges.
• Plan, organize, and execute wargaming exercises, ensuring they meet specified objectives and run efficiently.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from wargaming exercises to provide actionable insights and recommendations for strategic improvements.
• Collaborate with military planners, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure wargaming exercises align with NATO’s strategic goals.
• Provide training and support to participants before, during, and after wargaming exercises to ensure effective engagement and learning.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing the findings, outcomes, and strategic recommendations from wargaming exercises.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in wargaming methodologies, technologies, and best practices to enhance the quality and effectiveness of simulations.
• Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities through wargaming exercises and propose mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

• Secret security clearance.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a NATO and/or a National military HQ at the operational level.
• Experience in Wargaming or Strategic Management
• University Degree in strategic planning, systems analysis, operations research, statistics, computer assisted modelling, or related discipline.
• 2 years’ function related experience or higher secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
• Native English language speaker or individual presenting very good command of spoken and written English, with a proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing at the level of (SLP) NATO STANAG 6001-3333 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
