Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with a Hybrid potential based on performance after the probationary period.
Role DescriptionCenmed Enterprises is seeking a Laboratory Sales Account Executive to join our team! We are a fun and tight-knit group experiencing tremendous growth. This position will play a central role in the company's Sales department as the medical and laboratory distribution business expands. This is a fantastic opportunity as our company is rapidly growing.
Cenmed Enterprises seeks a Laboratory Sales Account Executive to cover a multi-state territory. The Laboratory Sales Account Executive (LSAE) is responsible for attaining quarterly and annual sales goals for Cenmed Enterprises and representing reagents, consumables, and automation platforms. Target customers include, but are not limited to, regional reference laboratories, health systems, research laboratories, and government institutions across a multi-state territory. The Account Manager will be responsible for growing revenue through new business and leading within the respective territory. This role requires a focus on delivering outstanding customer support and happiness and owning the assigned territory/customers as a business responsible for profit and revenue growth.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for direct sales of the company's products to a specified geographic area and effectively leading all sales cycle stages.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, leveraging expertise to understand their needs and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Achieve and surpass sales targets while staying updated on industry trends and competitors to adapt sales strategies.
  • Able to work independently while communicating with sales leadership as required
  • Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with current accounts.
  • Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, provide quotations, and prepare bid documents, process specifications, progress, and other reports.
  • Responsible for forecasting and projecting sales from new and existing customers for reagents, kitting equipment sales, and products.
  • Work extensively with CRM to handle customer account base and Qualify sales leads, answer inquiries, and maintain accurate records of activities using approved CRM software.
  • Other duties as assigned as necessary
You should have:
  • Proven expertise in new business development focusing on pharmaceutical, laboratory, and healthcare industries.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, plus a minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in packaging, kitting, or pharmaceutical sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, persuasion, and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven by an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proficient in competitive market analysis and adept at navigating industry trends and dynamics.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems.
Salary:
  • Starting base salary at $60,000—Commiserates with experience. Quarterly Commission Plan
