Censeo Consulting Group is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

The Position:We are looking for eager, driven candidates to help solve our client’s complex problems and guide them towards operational success. As a Project Manager with Censeo, you will support the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with client stakeholders and working groups to develop process maps, project plans, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of client issues, needs, and contexts
  • Share insights, results, and recommendations in a comprehensible manner through both written presentations/reports and interactions with teams/clients
  • Lead project management activities for the engagement, including updating project plans, communicating across stakeholders, and developing work products to meet project and client needs
Additional Responsibilities
  • Act as the customer contact for program activities and lead program review sessions with customers to discuss technical performance and support
  • Build client relationships across Censeo’s FCC clients and broader portfolio, including understanding customer requirements and identifying/resolving delivery risks before they happen
  • Identify and raise new opportunities to Censeo business development staff, and work with Censeo leadership to plan and execute account expansion and development
  • Establish “Exceptional” CPARs scores (or similar delivery quality for projects where we are a subcontractor) for the projects to which you are assigned
  • Support all aspects of client engagements from defining the strategy of a project to preparing final deliverables
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data to identify trends, find opportunities areas, and develop meaningful insights to support the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program

  • BA/BS required with strong academic background. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • 4 years of experience and knowledge of Project Management experience with a PMP preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in a top-tier consulting environment or relevant industry
  • 3 years of experience working with the FCC or other federal agencies providing PMO Support and Consumer Outreach Support
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail related to project management and task/deadline tracking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and experience managing multiple ongoing deliverables
  • Superior issue spotting and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter who is proactive in identifying improvements and value add items to improve the program
  • Strong understanding of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge, and quickly summarize decisions and actions from stakeholder meetings
  • Capability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and appropriately integrate different viewpoints
  • Capacity to make recommendations with respect to significant matters that may impact the department’s credibility, operations, and services
  • Qualified in composing outlines, letters and e-mails, basic reports, memoranda, and/or orally communicating technical information
  • Competent in working with complex and comprehensive materials such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impact, etc., and/or to make formal presentations
  • Comfortable managing data heavy projects and organizing a quantitative team; ability to develop or interpret summary statistics for reporting purposes is a plus

The Location:Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C. For now, we’re all working from home. But normally, we work at an office conveniently located in the heart of downtown D.C., just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.
