Residential Construction Superintendent

Center Creek Builders, a fast-growing residential construction firm, is seeking a Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple single-family new construction projects in Richmond, VA. Center Creek Builders is the contracting arm of Center Creek Homes that provides construction services for both Center Creek Homes and select third parties.

As a Superintendent with Center Creek Builders, you will be responsible for management of all construction activities on multiple single-family starts per month, from stake-out through final walk-through. You will have direct responsibility for scheduling and supervision of all suppliers and subcontractors, as well as for ensuring all Center Creek technical and quality standards are met on every home.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven supervision skills and residential construction expertise and possess the ability to communicate effectively with both vendors and management. Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed production schedules
• Coordinate scheduling of all suppliers and trades
• Conduct pre-construction meetings
• Supervise all onsite construction activities
• Continually verify quality and accuracy of all work put in place
• Communicate regularly with all subcontractors and suppliers
• Schedule and attend all City/County inspections
• Attend team and purchaser walk-throughs, as needed
• Run all daily activities using company’s online project management platform
• Enforce safety standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of residential construction experience, with some custom homebuilding preferred
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree a plus
• Knowledge of residential construction practices, regulations, codes, and safety
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to oversee multiple jobsites
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering consistently high-quality work product
• Experience with Builder Trend or other builder software platforms a plus
• High energy level, initiative, and problem-solving ability
• Growth orientation, with the ability to problem-solve and create new/improved processes in an entrepreneurial setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highest degree of honesty, integrity and professionalism
