**Job Title:** Insurance Coordinator

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for handling insurance verification, medical coding, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of ICD-10, ICD-9 codes, HIPAA regulations, and possess excellent communication skills.

**Duties:**

- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing

- Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes for proper medical and dental coding

- Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve any billing discrepancies

- Assist in processing insurance claims and following up on outstanding payments

- Collaborate with the dental office staff to ensure smooth operations

- Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus

**Experience:**

- Proven experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical or dental office

- Strong knowledge of medical and dental terminology and insurance procedures

- Proficiency in insurance verification processes

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
