Centerpoint Health is Hiring a Chief Medical Officer Near Middletown, OH

Centerpoint Health is an FQHC seeking a Chief Medical Officer for our community health center. We have locations in Franklin, Middletown, and Norwood, OH. We provide services in primary health care, dental, ob-gyn, and behavioral health, and are looking for a CMO to join our amazing team! ​
The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the clinical activity of staff, shares in the administration functions of Centerpoint Health (CPH) that directly impact medical services, assures the delivery of quality services to all patients, serves as liaison between medical staff and administration, and represents CPH in the community.
Job Duties:
This is a full-time position which consists of 50% administrative responsibility and 50% clinical patient care. Part-time candidates interested in the 50% administrative responsibility may also be considered.
-Provide primary care: preventive, acute, and chronic disease services to patients within scope of practice.
-Develop and implement health center medical and clinical policies and protocols.
-Review and approve call and work schedules of all clinical providers.
-Chair regular staff meetings of clinical provider team.
-Review and approve health center drug formulary as applicable.
-Ensure nurse practitioners have a collaborating physician through a Standard Care Arrangement (SCA).
-Promote current evidence-based practices, with periodic review and updates with clinical staff.
-Participate in budget planning; advise on the purchase of medical equipment and supplies.
-Participate in grant planning and implementation.
-Promote and lead population-based quality improvement plan based on performance of programs.
-Ultimate clinical authority for provider staff; perform annual evaluations of direct reports.
-Report in person and/or in writing to the governing board quarterly.
-Provide consultation to the development, implementation, and operation of a Quality Improvement Plan. Ensure it is consistent with health center reporting requirements and grant targets.
-Review clinically-related patient grievances.
-Review and approve patient education materials.
-Review, oversee, coordinate, and participate in claims management process with potential and actual health or health-related claims including malpractice. Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors and CEO on status.
Perform or oversee performance of the following:
-Comply with OGC’s and the U.S. Department of Justice’s instructions and requests for documentation, etc.
-Accountable for process timeliness.
-Responsible for development and approval of clinical protocols in EMR.
-Meet regularly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team; act as liaison for clinical staff ideas and concerns. ----
-Consult leadership regarding staff productivity; monitor progress toward health center goals and objectives.
-Serve as liaison between the public health, local hospital, and medical community.
-Other duties as assigned by CEO.

Certifications/Credentials:
Education: Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited school.
Certification and Licensure: Active and unrestricted MD or DO License in Ohio. Prefer completed residency training in Family Practice or Family Medicine. Unrestricted DEA License required.
Experience: Prefer two years as primary care provider, or five years managerial and/or QI experience in a primary care setting.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Supervision of clinical staff, optimizing delivery of patient services, including knowledge of scope of practice of clinical team. Knowledge of utilization management and quality improvement skills to deliver quality patient-focused, comprehensive health care services to diverse populations. Knowledge of corporate compliance and risk management is preferred.
