As CentraCare’s Director Inpatient Pediatrics, you will lead and oversee operations in Pediatric Inpatient, Progressive Care, and PICU departments at The Compass: St. Cloud Hospital. Drive patient and family-centered care in alignment with the hospital's mission. Ensure retention and development of staff and providers, fostering effective communication. Develop and execute strategic visions and plans in line with organizational priorities and Key Performance Indicators. Provide age-appropriate care for children and adolescents while championing patient/family-centered care philosophies. Uphold patient and other safety practices and maintain professional competencies through continued education and engagement.

Schedule Details:

• Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks
• Monday – Friday, primarily hours between 8am – 5pm
• On-site position working at St. Cloud Hospital

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or other related field preferred
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Minnesota required 
• At least 3 years of experience in Pediatrics required
  • Will consider other leadership and nursing experience in lieu of specialty experience
• Prior Management/Supervisory experience required
• Demonstrated management skills including leadership, problem-solving, communication, organization, and goal-setting required
• Professional Certification preferred

Department Information:

Our department has 14 general/medical/surgical Peds beds, 4 Peds Progressive (PPCU) beds equipped with cardiac monitoring, and 4 Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) beds. We handle outpatient sedations and infusions, respond to Peds codes throughout the hospital, and administer nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Our care team comprises RNs and NA's exclusively, with support from Case Management, Peds Dietitians, Peds Pharmacy, Child Life Specialist, OT (Developmental Specialist), Peds Hospitalist available 24/7, and PICU Intensivist. We cater to patients aged newborn to 17 years, with some specialties necessitating transfers.
