About the Responsibilities
As a Stakeholder Outreach Coordinator , you would coordinate with Stakeholder and Community Relations Manager, and other CAP staff to schedule, prepare for and execute frequent meetings with representatives from municipalities, tribes, the agricultural community and other community organizations. Coordinate and schedule briefings with city and tribal elected officials and their staff. Prepare talking points and other written materials. Draft responses to stakeholders on matters of inquiry. Attend regularly scheduled committee meetings with various chambers of commerce and other organizations as assigned. Draft notes and summaries from all meetings attended and provide them to Stakeholder and Community Relations Manager and other CAP staff as directed. Schedule, prepare and execute special events for stakeholders as assigned.
Some of the duties include:
  • Conduct and perform technical, financial, regulatory and legislative research and analysis in support of CAP's goals and initiatives.
  • Assist with department strategic and policy-related events such as planning and implementing special events and other functions.
  • Determine information needs and track emerging issues potentially affecting CAP, including federal, state, regional, tribal or business policies and regulatory directives.
  • Attend numerous events, meetings and represent CAP before stakeholders, elected officials, and business organizations as directed. Provide comprehensive documentation of meeting activities.
  • Provide necessary staffing and follow-up for the Manager or Director of the Division by tracking issues, preparing summaries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
About the Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, physical sciences, natural resources, public policy, political science, public administration, business management, or similar field.
  • Five (5) years of experience performing functions related to the essential functions of this position.
  • Possess strong policy, analytical and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to respond and work effectively in a high-pressure environment requiring flexibility to meet changing demands.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, writing, research, administrative, customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate goal setting and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced degree and related intergovernmental experience preferred.
