POSITION: Assistant Principal - Elementary (Multiple Openings)LOCATION: Split between two schools:1 - Pine Run/Kutz 2 - Titus/Linden 3 - Cold Spring/Gayman 4 - Buckingham/Warwick 5 - Doyle/JamisonAVAILABLE: July 22, 2024 COMPENSATION: Salary in accordance with Act 93 Agreement DESCRIPTION: The Elementary Assistant Principal will assist the building Principal in planning, developing, overseeing, coordinating, directing and evaluating the school’s total education program and environment. The Assistant Principal will serve as the administrative head of the school in the absence of the principal. Essential Duties And Responsibilities (List Is Not All-inclusive)
Assist in selection, supervision and evaluation of professional and support staff.
Engage in classroom observations and discussions of instructional practices with staff to assist in improving and refining instructional skills.
Assist in interpreting test results and planning appropriate actions.
Coordinate placement of students in appropriate grade level, class and/or program.
Resolve conflicts among parents, teachers and student on school-related issues.
Participate in the development of curriculum and a continuous in-service program for all staff.
Use current research data to implement curriculum development and instructional improvements.
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Educational Administration required. Related prior Elementary K-6 Administrative or teaching experience required. PA School Administrator - Principal PK-12 certificate or Elementary Principal certification required. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational and management skills.
